Palisades fire rebuilds are left out here; they're sold as their own fire rebuild zone. Pool service and fencing aren't offered in South LA & Harbor, which gets only a few pool permits a month.

Questions
Where does the data come from?
City of Los Angeles building, electrical and mechanical permits and certificates of occupancy, which are public records. We check them daily.
How fresh is it?
The city publishes permits a few days after they're issued. Your weekly list covers permits issued in roughly the last two weeks, so you see each one while the job is still current.
Are these people ready to buy?
Not necessarily. A permit tells you a homeowner is investing in their home right now: a new roof, new solar, a new pool, a finished house. That's a strong reason to reach out, not a guarantee of a sale. How you follow up is up to you.
Hasn't the homeowner already decided by the time the permit is issued?
For the job on the permit, usually. That's why each trade gets the permits for the job before its own: the roof comes before the solar and gutters, the solar before the battery, the pool before the service and the fence, the finished house before the blinds and the yard. Some contractors bundle the next job in; the homeowners who fit you best are the ones whose contractor didn't. We can't tell you which is which.
How should I contact homeowners?
By mail or in person. Permit records include addresses, not phone numbers, and unsolicited calls or texts to homeowners can break federal telemarketing rules. Many installers send a postcard within a week of the permit.
What if my zone is taken?
We'll put you on the waitlist for that zone and offer you a neighboring one.
What do I get for staying?
After your first paid month, a one-time bonus list comes with your next Monday list, going back further than your first list did: permits from 31 to 90 days ago, and homes, ADUs and pools finished 1 to 6 months ago, whichever your trade gets. From then on, each extra zone you add is $149 a month instead of $199. And every 12 months you stay, the next month is free.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, in full, if your zone turns out to be taken, or if you ask before your first list is sent. After that, payments aren't refundable, because your whole first list arrives on that first Monday. You can still cancel anytime, and you keep your lists through the month you paid for.
Can I cancel?
Yes, anytime. There's no contract. You keep getting your lists until the end of the month you paid for.
